I'm trying to banish the influence the internet has on me from my life. That being said, I don't want to do a Ted Kaczynski and move into the woods and abandon society. I still *like* the internet, I just want to use it differently. I think with the advent of age-verification and similar measures, the "mainstream" Internet (i.e Twitter, Discord, etc.) have sort of lost their charm. I think they did a long time ago. I like being able to do whatever I want on here and also seeing other people's websites. On Websites like these, there are no cookies, trackers, ads, censorship - and that's liberating in a way I guess? Anyways, that's about it.

TL;DR: I made this site because the mainstream Internet annoys me
